NIFRA is committed to bridging the financing gap in infrastructure projects by raising low-cost resources, primarily from the domestic market and secondarily from the international market, through equity, debt, structured funds, and bonds. These resources are then allocated to financially viable infrastructure projects after evaluating their feasibility in terms of technical, financial, environmental, and success factors.
NIFRA’s vision is to become a nodal financial institution which drives Nepal’s economic prosperity precisely by developing the nation’s infrastructure. It facilitates investment in infrastructure by lending or by equity investment on infrastructure projects. It promotes Public Private Partnership (PPP) and encourages infrastructure-allied businesses to become a key financial partner of the Government of Nepal to develop infrastructure of the country. It also works in liaison with multilateral financial institutions, the Government of Nepal, and private entrepreneurs for equity and debt financing to fund infrastructure projects of the country. NIFRA conducts its activities keeping Nation First with high honesty and integrity. It gives priority to minimize the deficit of infrastructure needs required for economic prosperity of the country.
